Fernando Llorente

I'm not sure about that but it's interesting to see us linked with three high profile players approaching the end of their contracts - Llorente, Huntelaar, Cole. If we want to combat FFP without weakening our squad too much then we could do worse than say sell Dzeko/Mario and get Llorente/Huntelaar on a free, sell Kolarov and get Cole on a free. I wouldn't see those 'swaps' while probably making around £25million and keeping the wage bill about the same as weakening our squad much at all. Anyone agree?

I don't know... but if I had the option to swap Dzeko and Mario for Llorente and Huntelar I'd do it in a heartbeat. And I don't rate Llorente b the way...

Unfortunately Mancini again said Mario will NOT be sold.

We'll have a hell of a time selling Mario/Dzeko with two quality strikers on the market for free

selling these two and try to convince llorente and huntellar join us

Wouldn't surprise me if we're in for Llorente, didn't Bobby say recently we were looking for more of a physical presence in the oppositions penalty area ? From what I've seen of this lad he'd fit the bill for that.

He is similar to what we have with Edin Dzeko, and as we know, Edin is struggling to adapt to our style of play when he starts.

He isn't similar to Dzeko.

Llorente is very adept at playing a passing game but he can also batter through defences with his strength and size.

Dzeko struggles alot with our passing game and the likes of Silva, Nasri and so on struggle to link with him most of the time.

I don't think Llorente is the striker for us. I think we should focus on moving on Dzeko and giving Guidetti the chance.

BIG YES for me.

Sell Dzeko and Mario for 30 Million, and use Guiditte as the 4th striker with Tevez and Aguero.

JKH to Arsenal is almost done but Llorente would be good. And if we'd sign Isco, Deulofeu and improve our CMs I'd be more than happy.

Arsenal and Manchester City are preparing to test Athletic Bilbao's resolve to keep hold of striker Fernando Llorente, 27, in the January transfer window.

There's no way we're going after him this January. If we go after a player it's going to be midfielder like Isco.

Definitely looks like he's leaving.

What an unbelievable signing he would be for somebody on a free. For us? Maybe.

Obviously we would have to sell first. If we were to sell Dzeko and bring Llorente in, I suppose that would be good business.

We do still have Guidetti too and really hope we do give him a chance. I honestly see Balotelli and Dzeko leaving next summer so, even with Guidetti, there would be room for a striker.

I don't see why Juventus wouldn't be after him again. He failed with Athletic for pushing Juventus move and they haven0t bought any striker since then.
You were right, they are after him...

@tancredipalmeri: RT @dermotmcorrigan Athletic say Juventus in touch today to say they're talking to Llorente about joining them in June: http://t.co/DMygSBzS

Bilbao have apparently confirmed That he will leave the club on June 30th 2013....And juventus will begin negotiations with the player?..ESPN
