Torres won't sign for us.

Bobby is playing games to sign someone else methinks.

Its another BBC sport understands bollocks. The only quotes in that article are from Mancini saying if the situation is right he would like to sign him. Not sure how that can be seen as City distancing themselves from a possible transfer.

Re: TORRES EVEN MONEY

To the people moaning about us attempting to sign Torres

GROW UP!!

This is one fish I hope we fry

Re: TORRES EVEN MONEY

might be premature, but what the*uck!

The bin dippers where well in debt
Torres, Torres,
The bailiffs on the office step
Torres, Torres,
Fernado questioned why he came,
From Man City he heard his name
Fernado Torres, CITY'S NUMBER 9!

Re: TORRES EVEN MONEY

A fit torres plus our current squad makes us title contenders surely, hes a 25 goal a season striker, give them Adebayor if thats what it takes, Tevez and Torres. Oops I think Ive done a sex wee.

Good stuff. I imagine there will be about 30 versions of this song within a day of him signing.

Re: TORRES EVEN MONEY

Not sure why we are still discussing this. Radio 5 have been saying for hours that "City have said they are no longer pursuing their interest in Torres". Could be a smokescreen of course, but then why say anything at all? Personally glad if this is true. Also said we are looking for offers for Robinho and a possible loan move for Bellamy. Also that Milner is holding another meeting with O'Neill to sort out where they both stand. So that isn't nailed on yet. As things stand, he is still heading off to Portugal with Villa on Wednesday.

that article i no way shows us distancing ourselves from torres , it shows what every other article says but comes out with the opposite outcome that we aren't interested when he clearly states that at the right price and if he wants to come he is interested , thats a stupid article

I think if City were distancing themselves Mancini could have knocked it on the head by saying he wasn't interested.
Two key things in Mancini's interview.
Liverpool haven't signed many players - one of Torres requests and a bit of mindf**king with Torres
If the price is right, If he (Torres) wants to come. -- Doesn't say we're not interested to me, thats says the ball is in Torres' court now.

Also with Hodgson saying there was 'trouble' before he arrived is a preparation for the dippers fans so if he goes Hodgson has distanced himself from it and sort of gets them used to idea.

Other scenario is he's (Mancini) using it to put pressure on the Dzecko/Ballotelli deals

And you would know how exactly,,,,,,,,,,,another itk-er are yer then>?

I'm glad someone else gets irritated by these "X won't come to City, end of" type proclaimations.

You don't know, like everyone else.

Torres will be playing at Liverpool or Chelsea this season.

Kolarov £17million
Boetang £11million

Yaya Toure £24million
David Silva £26million

Balotelli £24million

Possible: Milner £25million

Seriously do you think we need Torres? Last season we finished with the 4th highest goal total in the league. We would have finished 4th/3rd if we didn't have such an appaling defence under Hughes. Draws against Hull, Fulham and Burnley at home in the league, as well as losing to teams like Hull away and drawing with Bolton. These were all games we should have won and thankfully since Mancini came in we seem to have tightened up in defence as well as getting over our away tabboo. This summer we have made some astute signings not only in Defence which was a priority, but we have also signed Y.Toure who will be a massive help giving the back 4 protection. With the impending signing of Balotelli who looks like one of the most promising under 21 year olds in the world.

We currently have:
Tevez
Adebayor
*Balotelli

Who are three world class strikers, if we keep one of Bellamy or Cruz to be a bench player we will have one formidable attack force. Don't think we need Torres.

guy on talksport just said he,s heard off 2 reliable sources torres is off to chelsea...so....drogba to us maybe???......

FUCK TORRES + MILNER + DROGBA

ADE ... BALLOTELLI
TEVEZ

IS Enough.

Talksport - Torres "DEFINETLY" going to Chelsea. Yeah right, and we just signed Kolarov.

Torres is so injury prone its not funny.

But Rafa over-worked him, big time, as the only decent striker. Played when injured, unfit, knackered etc. If he can be rotated among Tevez, Ade and Balotelli he can be looked after better.
