Give the lad a break, he's just never been able to get a run of games, its hard enough getting a game at City in midfield without all of his injuries - still think he has massive potential ....
He needs games, if he went there on loan he'd get games. He's not going to get any games here, so if he can make himself useful as a makeweight then I'd be hugely for it. Playing in Portugal would almost certainly improve him as a player aswell. Win-win

More likely to be Garcia or Lopes I'd imagine.
I'd be very surprised at Garcia, given his history with Benficaand that's he's our only other midfielder in the CL for the rest of the year, but Lopes would very interesting. Porto are very short in the attacking midfield/wing areas

I think those who think Rodwell's going on loan to Porto just played a bit too much of FM. I mean, it's hard to imagine a young English midfielder to play the Portuguese league. For some reason, it's just never gonna happen.

News from Portugal:

Fernando stays at Porto till the end of season. City was allowed to pay 3/4M now but Porto wants to Fernnado stay and training apart of the group,he will not play anymore game till the end of season. he had a agreement with Porto for a new contract and he broke this agreement...

Someone said he's out of contract in June so the fee won't be big

So was De Jong and we still ended up paying £16m, and don't forget Porto are brilliant at getting good prices for their players.
