What reasons do we have for thinking the deal is "stalling"?
He hasn't signed yet.
Or it just hasn't been announced yet. And why would we when it'll just get lost in all the World Cup hype and we still hope to tie announce it with the Mangala deal.

we're not signing a global superstar here, doubt anyone is worried about the hype being lost, if we had finished the signing it would be announced, either way something is definitely holding it up so it is stalling.

i think its the usual 3rd party problem.
Don't you mean the usual city closing a deal problem?
Fuck me I'm shocked your moaning about our transfer dealings. Don't you have anything better to do?
Well said mate. I don't know why he bothers following City. He clearly doesn't enjoy the experience very much.

In general you try to maximise the publicity of every transfer.

Then shouldn't the club have waited until he comes back to "maximize" it...

The club has announced transfers at 10 at night, unless we sign another 'Aguero' I doubt they'll care about publicly rolling out the red carpet that much

Course not. He'll be in everyone's faces for the next 2-4 weeks with his name being "new Manchester City signing Sagna" for commentators whenever he touches the ball.
