So is he a De Jong sort of player? Win the ball and lay it off. Keeps it simple. Could be a useful player to have on the bench when we're trying to keep hold of a narrow lead.

He looks more like a slower version of Fernandinho from what I've seen. Doesn't explode in to tackles as well as De Jong, but is a lot more positive with the ball.

Seeing as how we have only two functional midfielders, he'll get plenty of playing time. Yaya and Ferna have had to play almost every single game. Yaya looked like he was going to collapse at 60 minutes against Spurs. Garcia and Rodwell are so bad that we moved a slow CB into midfield rather than use them.

If he is such an awful human being, you should be happy that he is leaving. There is no chance that he will sit on the bench because when used in tandem with yaya or fernandinho, he will give them license to go forward. He will spell both yaya and fernandinho in the PL, Carling Cup, and FA Cup when necessary, and then yaya and fernandinho will play in the CL because he is cup tied.
