The bigger question is if we're letting him go are we okay with weakening our squad till summer knowing we're still all in for CL and league. Given the COVID situation and unexpected cases we could be relying on depth in certain situations. Imo it's risky unless a replacement or a proper number 9 is being brought in. That's all, the money we're getting is good, but the cost is weakening the squad.

I think in Pep's eyes, Torres isn't a good enough goalscorer to make up for being less rounded as a player, than our other attacking midfielders.

He never really showed he was going to be top class, no pace, no strength, went missing in games. We need much better and to make a profit is good business. Sell him and spend as much as we possibly can to try to get that proper lethal striker which we’ve needed since Aguero left.

I think this amazing team will be almost unbeatable with someone who can consistently finish more of the chances we create. Torres was never that player.
