Well, that was my point. And it’s glaringly obvious.Yes it is. We are the most unfit in the league.
Do you not listen when pep gets asked about injured players?
Out of the squad of 17 reckon 4 or 5 are at peak fitness. The rest are about 75% fit, hence the shit show we are witnessing.
Feyenoord are 4ththe dutch league is not in the top five euro leagues,ok Feyenoord are their best team but to lose a three goal advantage in 15 mins at home is not what would have happened last season, there is something wrwrong
From someone who knows it is a very worrying picture . As some say Pep needs a break after performing miracles for the past few years .self harming
I've been a blue since 88 been at Maine Road with my Dad and Grandad during our period. I agree a lot with what you are saying (am not having a go at you) and yes we are in a slump at the moment but that was an moment to stop the rot tonight. Get a good result and stop the talk from everyone pundits and rival fans a like. Again mate am not having a go at you am just really annoyed being 3-0 up and we gave the game away imoDon't be sorry pal. It shouldn't, you're right but it did. I don't know how long you've been a blue but my point is I've seen us drawing games from winning positions and losing games regularly(sometimes heavily) for many years when we didn't have a world class manager and we weren't a well run club. Quite the contrary for many many years.
We're in a slump and descending from the summit of Mount Everest, but we're one of the few clubs in world football to have climed Everest so our recent highs far outweigh or current low.
It was classic old school stuff. Poor old Erling after all those goals.
We never had a 5 match losing run with two absolute hammerings followed by a complete and utter capitulation though. It's not going to get better any time soon either. It is easy to forget that the treble winning season was pretty much a write off at this point.
If KDB is taking quick free kicks at 3-2 with two minutes left, it’s not making much difference. And on the subject of the subs, it was not the time to be putting Macatee and Simpson Pusey on the pitch, when we’ve got such fragile confidence. Certainly not when we’ve got Walker, Dias and Savinho available.
Get the game won.
That said, I’m also staggered that once we conceded Pep didn’t get Dias or Walker in the pitch to batten down the hatches.
A 30 year old Fernandinho is exactly what we need. Someone with balls. An organiser, a leader and he could play a bit tooGood post
I am totally at a loss as to why we don’t make any tackles. We have forgotten how to put our foot in. Rodri is a big miss in this respect.
We’ve always had enforcers in the middle and desperately need one in the January window. Dinho where art thou…
