I think his next word to Josko should have been to encourage him to clear the ball if he's in doubt or being pressed . That would have sorted it but they are not taught to clear their lines are they? Totally agree about the subs.I don’t get to many games, so tonight was my first of the season and for 70 odd minutes it was just like the few games I went to last season. Not a top class opposition, but not a full strength City and most of the players acquitted themselves well.
Gundo played some great balls, Phil looked pretty sharp. Certainly nothing to be worried about with a players still to come back.
For me the subs changed everything. Too many at once and too early. Had Pep not made three massive changes I feel there is little doubt the game would have been won. I’d have preferred him to let one change bed in.
It reminded me of a game against Leicester a few years ago (Boxing Day), he made a load of changes, took off experience and we nearly blew a 4-0 lead.
