If you are deeply religious or spiritual and believe there is someone living in the clouds say a few prayers to that Sky Fairy for that to happen will you?Anyone else still on the side that we still turn this round and push for the title? Optimism.
Pep certainly has things to answer for but he’d have been crucified if we get hammered by the dippers using players even more shagged out than they are now. If you can’t rest anyone when you’re 3-0 up against the Dog & Duck, 20 minutes to play and have a dressing room full of sick notes, when can you?Just don't understand how anybody is blaming Pep for making subs at 3-0 up. We know the situation with the squad and all the injuries we have. There's no excusing the goals we conceded.
Yep. There’s a reason we are the only team to win 4 in a row. It’s ridiculous the team achieved that after the treble. They look physically and mentally knackered, perhaps since the FA Cup final. Not surprising given what they’ve done over the last few years and the injuries have then killed us. Am sure Pep made those subs with an eye on the weekend and fear of more injuries.I don't know why posters are getting out their prams, it isn't exactly a shock is it?
We are what we are at the minute and that is woeful. This team has run it's course, it isn't rocket science. They've give us the treble and four in a row and after years of running themselves into the ground for us we need to give them some slack.
There was always going to be a tail off and a dip, it's happening, it's real, we just have to suck it up and crack on, no use pointing the finger or putting the blame on individuals, as a team they've all had that drop off
Get used to the fact we aren't winning anything this season, that isn't being defeatist, that is being honest with the situation.
Top 4, maybe an fa cup run and it's a decent season. Forget champions league this season, we are nowhere near good enough.
We all need to accept what is going on, simple really.
He was never where he should have been, he’s struggling at the moment. Poor at Brighton, Poor v Spurs and poor tonight. However, not on his own. Gvardiol, Akanji, Ederson also poor.Thought Rico was decent today… Gvardiol not having a brain fart would have meant we win that game 3-0 with no drama
Play a straight back 11Well looking ahead to Sunday, assuming the people in training are ready to go, is this the lineup?:
Ederson
Lewis Dias Akanji Ake
Gundogan
Foden Debruyne
Savinho Grealish
Haaland
Play a straight back 4. Take some early pressure and counter.
God I wish I'd recorded myself. I said to the bloke next to me "bit early for those subs".Pep certainly has things to answer for but he’d have been crucified if we get hammered by the dippers using players even more shagged out than they are now. Criticise other stuff by all means but at least there was a logic:
- Gundo off: age has taken its toll and he’s playing far more minutes than he should.
- KDB on: patently not match fit so it was an opportunity to ease him back.
- Phil off: been looking a bit jaded this season and some suspect poorly.
- Nathan off. Only just back from injury and he’s needed for the dipper game.
- McAtee on: a rare chance to give him some minutes.
Some people want it every fcukin way but hindsight’s all too easy when pontificating on a forum. We don’t have that luxury in real life.
Just do the subs one at a time. Hindsight says a triple sub has been a mistake before.Pep certainly has things to answer for but he’d have been crucified if we get hammered by the dippers using players even more shagged out than they are now.
