I think it's injuries to key players and possibly a bit of burn out after 4 amazing seasons that are affecting the team. All the charges did was galvanised them to go on an amazing unbeaten run that season.I do wonder if all the talk of the charges is getting to the players heads a little bit. When the manager openly talks about the possibility of relegation, that players must think along those lines as well. The team just looks mentally and physically exhausted at the minute.

You missed the first half then?At 70 min when sub was taken, I don’t think any one should say 3:0 was flattering. We outperformed in every aspect for 70 minutes.
Surely not, unless you didn't see a slow dive to second division so it's your first taste of a pile 'o' shite football.I genuinely couldn't sleep last night because it was on my mind. Think it was about 5.30 this morning before I nodded off. It's crazy how it affects us.
True, but does emphasise the point being made, ie wholesale changes unsettle and imbalance the teamStill got zero points
Haha, first game in 74/75 season mate.Surely not, unless you didn't see a slow dive to second division so it's your first taste of a pile 'o' shite football.
We didn't look burnt out for 75 mins last night.I think it's injuries to key players and possibly a bit of burn out after 4 amazing seasons that are affecting the team. All the charges did was galvanised them to go on an amazing unbeaten run that season.
I agree with most of this, save for KDB - yes, he's not "there" yet, but, he still looked a class above most of our team in his short spell last night. Let's hope we can get 75 minutes out of him at the weekend; Dias back at centre half; Ake at left back to take of Salah, and Walker can find some form to come in and strengthen us - shoring-up the right side of the back four.It is not the first time we have seen a drop off in quality when subs have been made. Unfortunately the young centre back is not at the level required (yet?) MacAtee is nowhere near good enough and KDB is unfit/ totally fucked, depending on your point of view. We clearly meed something to freshen up and I think that the club will be sensibly working to bring some stability back to the team.
It is to be expected that we don’t just continue to dominate year on year, no club can. What we have achieved is already unprecedented and for good reason. We need a reset and that is plain to see. We are not run by idiots. We will have to suck it up this season, but that is ok. We move on and stay blue..
