Feyenoord (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

This isn't hindsight as I want to say it before the event.

If we rock up at Anfield with these tactics and attitude of some players we will be mauled and it will be an unpleasant event to witness.

I just hope somehow, they think we have turned to dogshit, are complacent about the game, and we rock up as a team that has won 4 Premier Leagues on the spin and catch them cold.

The last 20-25 minutes tonight was a very sobering watch. CTID

Sadly that team has long gone. This is just a shadow.

It’s not.
Pep didn’t stop them playing.
Pep didn’t make them make mistakes.
Pep didn’t make them stop trying.
Pep didn’t make them mentally weak.
Funnily enough as soon as their third hit the back of the net they all started running around like mad men.
Pressing, finding space and running.
Yes Pep made subs but there’s enough quality in that team (well there was) not to throw away a 3 goal lead.
I completely agree with you.
But Peps reaction after there first goal was disappointing.

Imagine being on that pitch and seeing Pep react like that. It wouldn’t exactly be reassuring. Not blaming Pep but he could have reacted better to the first goal.

I'm sure the players in the dressing room expect Pep to make some strong decisions. Starting with dropping both Ederson and Gvardiol. Players need to see the manager being decisive so if Pep tolerates regularly under performing players any longer then we've no chance of coming out of this mire. McAtee needs to be sold in January - clearly nowhere near the required level.

Who is going to play at LB if Pep drops Gvardiol? Ake who can't finish a game or Lewis?

Conceding 2 or more goals in 6 consecutive games for the first time in many decades says it all about this side.

Confidence is shot , kindergarten defending well not even that level and we can lose games in a few minutes.

Real reset needed at seasons end.
17 goals conceded in 6 games by my reckoning. That's shockingly bad at any level of professional football.

Not certain it will be in Pep's hands by the summer if this shit show continues. Viana might recommend he goes.
I’d rather sell the entire squad and start a fresh with 30 new players with Pep still the manager, than get rid of him.

It’s the players who are fucking shit, not Pep. They’re the ones playing. We’ve created and missed enough chances to win half a season of games in the last six games (85 shots and 7 goals and no wins, to about 35 shots for the opposition yet 17 goals conceded and 5 defeats and a draw).

Like he always says ‘it’s the players who win the games and win the trophies’, much like it’s all on them to capitulate at 3-0 up with 14 minutes remaining. He’s just on the touchline.
