will one win in the next 3 be enough to get top 24?
could be enough to beat Brugge but that will be the lower end for the 9th - 24th spectrum meaning we are not seeded even in the playoff round and face someone just missed out on top8 ad finish 9-10-11-12th who realistically a much better side than whoever finishes 23rd or 24th unless big underperformance like PSG might scrape into the top24 but will not be above the 20th as it seems so far with 4 points after 5 games and yet to play City, Stuttgart, Salzburg for them.

at the very least we need to finish 9th to 16th so to be seeded (start away, finish home) and draw someone who is even shitter on the table. this whole new format is throwing couple bigger sides off like us , Real, PSG so far. all three may have to do the extra rounds to get to last 16 and its bit random who finishes where exactly at this point given how close multiple clubs to each other.

but 11-12 points deffo should be enough for the top24.

It was last season and the three seasons before that. It's not 10/20 years ago that people are referring to.

This team has done brilliantly and is having a dip this season. It happens.

What's shocking is people on here and elsewhere who seemingly can't deal with that and has turned on the team and the club at the first difficult period we've had in years.
Well said mate, the players need support, they aren't robots.

It's not that pal...Most of us here have loved the club through thick..thin...thickish...very thin...good,....fkin amazing...in my case of 50 years going. But it's the strange lack of squad planning - i accept we needed to temper big purchases - but a better squad plan would have helped - eased out players 30 plus or close..Laporte, Mahrez style...but bring in young y=hungry players and overlap for a season or two... it looks a mess now really

Same v Leicester on Boxing Day 21 and we nearly lost a 4-0 nil lead.

The year before the treble we blew a two goal cushion against Real in the semi in the dying minutes.
Although we scored after a double substitution in that away match in Madrid.

Devastating last 20 minutes during devastating period.

But its all upwards from hear, cannot be otherwise. Calmly. I believe in retrospect, we will turn all the black days into a good joke.

I can understand Pep trusting his subs to see the game out, but once Ake was subbed and Gvardiol had a mad ten minutes, it was pretty obvious that the Dutch subs were fresher than our defence. The first goal was a complete shambles, the second a bit unlucky, but the third was waiting to happen. I was relieved we didn’t concede another. Without Dias, Stones and Rodri, we just can’t defend. Also this was Gundogan’s best performance since jis return, so why take him off with 20 minutes to go. I’m sorry, but when you are bossing the game, keep the players on until you get a 4-0 lead at least

I thought we played well last night up till the substitutions, but I understand why Pep made the subs.
3-0 up with 25 mins to go and a big game on Sunday plus Kevin needs minutes to get up to speed.
If Josko doesn't make the cock up for their 1st goal we go on and win comfortably but at the moment every mistake we make is being punished.
No doubt about it we did collapse after they scored but we still should have been able to hold onto the lead.
Injuries and having to play players who definitely aren't anywhere near 100% match fit are killing us along with the lack of confidence that comes from a losing run but we will get through this sooner rather than later.
Hopefully Ruben and Johnny are fit for Sunday and then we have a leader in defence.
We need to get behind the lads not get on their backs.

Or it means they pulled off a great result if they beat or draw against us and if they lose well you can't get be expected to beat the best team in the world.

Football knowledge has fuck all to do with it.
So you don't think he's right then..? Who in your opinion are the best team in the world.. And why.

Any players at our club including the youth teams should be able to defend a 3 goal lead against a very average Dutch side.
