Flavour of the month in the way that after the World Cup, he is now the one youth player everyone has decided is the one. Before that it was Brahim. Before that it was Aleix Garcia, before that Manu Garcia, before that Rony Lopes, before that Denis Suarez. A lot of our fans seem to only have room for one youth player in their thoughts and then instantly discard the previous one when a new one comes along. It's not an insult of Foden or his abilities, more of the weird mentality of some of our fans and how taken they are by the next thing before even giving the current one a chance.

Brahim has been around the squad longer than Foden, he's made his debut, pretty sure he's been playing with the EDS longer and has generally been on the edge waiting for his chance longer. Talent wise I don't think there is a lot to chose between the two, but Brahim has been at this point waiting for longer, he is further along.
If he's "waiting at the same point" how can he be further along?

Both are extremely talented, but Foden is a special case in the sense that he's the first local city lad we've produced with proper world class potential. He our big shot of having our own Harry Kane, a homegrown superstar. Brahim has all the potential but he's not got the same connection to the club.

Also, I think BECAUSE he is flavour of the month it is the perfect time to give him some game time, his confidence is sky high and that will make it far easier to intergrate in to the side IMO.

Why not play both? Everyone's happy.

You miss my point. How can you claim something that hasn't yet occurred as not true and claim also that someone's belief is untrue under the same argument. It's all speculative until we see the team sheet and outcome
If I say “tonight is the most important game of the season”, it’s not true. Same as saying we have to play the strongest 11. Pep said in the last two press conferences he will make a raft of changes. So we know already that it’s not true that we have to play our strongest 11.

Ederson
Danilo Otamendi Mangala Delph
Yaya
Gündogan Foden
Bernardo Agüero Sané

Bravo, Duhaney, Kompany, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Brahim, Jesus/Sterling

That's what I'd go for, we still want to win to wrap up the group, but definitely a chance to start Foden and some fringe players.
