I'd like to see how it impacts us but to be honest I don't mind if we aren't hugely successful in the CL next season. In some ways this could be a blessing if younger players are given more of a chance.

I only really care about the domestic trophies. Lets make it a triple next year :-)

I agree about the importance of winning domestic trophies. What concerns me (and I don't fully understand the sanctions) is how players like Aguero and Silva (and any potential tranfers) will feel about being part of a team that isn't likely to challenge in Europe for a while
Again I state I don't fully understand the sanctions.
If Soriano is accurate that City will break even, then why should it be a while?

As I said mate I can't get my head what it means for the make up of our squad. If more knowledgable people (I
am not being sarcastic) than me feel that we will be okay then that's great.

Could prove beneficial, hopefully having the restrictions will generate an us against the world effect could prove very motivational. Even with a restricted squad the players that would be included are more than capable of winning it, with less pressure & more fight who knows ... if thats not mildly arousing i dont know what is.

I couldn't imagine that Aguero or Silva would have an issue with us being limited to 21 players. The only people I'd imagine who would be concerned would be the fringe foreign players like Garcia and Nastasic.

My only slight concern and it is very slight, but this particular ruling does damage our chances of CL success dramatically in the short term. WIll this put off any potential signing or even worse make some of our current players wanna jump ship in pursuit of CL glory.

in the short term is actually 1 year as far as I can see? And tbh we were not likely to win it next season anyway

Reading between the lines it ain't to bad ...40 mill of the fine suspended ? And we only used 22 player in champs league last season ...and doesn't every team have to have 8 home grown players in camp league .

I did say it was only a very slight concern :)
I must have misread i thought it was a 2 season thing if its just 1 then yea it wasnt even worthy of a 'very slight'.

Dont fully agree with your last point tho suggests even with a max quota we'd have very little chance of winning, worse teams than ours have won it before CL is as much about luck as it is ability.

personally i would send in the fringe players and rest our starters to go for another double or triple next season, as u said with restrictions i doubt we have a chance anyway so rest our biggest players for pl games

As of today these are our foreign players I am excluding Nasty because he qualifies under B list.
1) Pants
2) Zab
3) Komps
4) Demichelis
5) Kolorov
6) Garcia
7) Yaya
8) Fernandhino
9) Nasri
10) Silva
11) Navas
12) Dzeko
13) Aguero
14) Jovetic
15) Negredo

If we can only have 13 of the above who do you leave out? Don't forget we must have minimum three keepers in the squad. If we can have 17 and 4 Homegrown then we can add Sagna and Mangala no problem and Fernando if we get rid of one of the above. Sagna is foreign only joined Arsewipe when he was 23. The four HG would be Hart, Milner Clichy and Academy keeper, means Rodwell misses out.

I am assuming that the sanctions do not in any way restrict the number of B list players, so the likes of Lopez, Rekik and all the lads in the academy under 21 can play.
