GDM you cannt seriously be suggesting that a lawyer, expert in the field of football finances, would know more than a British journo, surely not?

Even if that wasn't the case, Lawton et al are so consumed by bile for the 'project', that they are incapable of applying any form of rational thought to FFP and its consequences for the wider game.
I think Lawton and chums know exactly where FFP leaves the wider game hence why they support it, having been told by their 'friends in high places' that they must
I guess that's, sadly, probably closer to the truth in actual fact.

However we must remain vigilant as talk like this has you accused of being paranoid about an "agenda".

Haha!

No-one's ever accused me of that. Maybe it's just you, squirty ;-)

If you read my forthcoming KOTK article you'll see that I out Lawton & Herbert as effectively being little more than paid lackeys of the media department at the evil empire.

The new rules, which were first proposed in 2009, are supposedly meant to stop clubs' ballooning financial losses, which according to UEFA have threatened both individual, highly popular clubs and the future of European football as a whole.

And there we have it, folks. The real reason for FFP

And another child sees the emperor is stark bollock naked.

Up yours Napoleon!

Re: Wall St Journal Article on FFP

Its a great piece for sure.

I was talking the other day to someone who reckons that certain FIFA agents have also been involved in the design of FFPR. Not exactly surprising but also indicative of the mindset that took the rules where they ended up.

If lots more clubs were to get into the CL but they had less T/O then players might have to actually choose between wages and CL qualification.

Now of course they wont have that worry.

Re: Wall St Journal Article on FFP

That was a long read... All done :D

Just confirms what many have been saying for awhile now with regards to why FFPR was really put in place.

I'm still scratching my head as to why many mid-table obscure teams voted for this?

To be favoured when the big clubs loan out future stars?

Where did that word go.... "Competition" thaaaaat's right, guess we won't see that word much any more, what with Promotion/Relegation going soon.

These fat cats are scum and need shooting.
