FFP - Why I believe we failed

If I've calculated it right, the total of the aggregate break even deficit exceeds the acceptable deviation by £76m. The break even deficit for 2012 was £83m. Therefore condition (ii) is satisfied which means we could have used the £80m exemption and escaped without sanction.

Platini & Co deserve a smack in the mouth for making me read stuff like that on a Footie forum. (no offence to Prestwich_Blue)

whats important is that City have handled this perfectly. They have clearly stated that they do not agree with the sanctions but do not want to cause themselves, us - the fans and all those behind the scenes more problems. If they went 'legal' on this, it would blow it all wide open and City would be the target of all the top clubs for years.

The 'holistic' approach continues and City have been utterly honourable and impeccably behaved - unlike all those howling for us to be banned from the Champions League and effectively closed down. Fuck em all - congratulations City

When UEFA decide they want fuck us over once again next year and then the year after that and probably the year after that, then maybe the club will have a similar "road to Damascus" moment.

Once bitten, twice shy.

What strengthens my resolve in this matter is that Platini is an ex footballer, nothing more, nothing less.
ADUG are in the business of keeping the world supplied with it's most valuable commodity, oil. I'm only a total layman but as others have suggested, I think our owners know exactly what they are doing. They're playing along in the game because, whilst grossly unfair, they can easily take this hit with minimal disruption and at the same time occupy the moral high ground.

What I'm wondering though is how the Russian and Turkish clubs will react, some of them, perhaps, haven't got the back up to absorb the hit? It would be good if they took on UEFA and maybe even defeat them whilst we sit it out.
Either way it seems like a win win situation for us.
Simplistic I know but I really am only guessing.

The settlement agreements I have come across are between employer and employee, and are legally enforceable agreements. I expect this is the same.

Sorry peeps..im with bill and rammy on this...This is just the begining of the changing of the goal posts to fuck us up.
Quick question..If you were up in court and knew you'd done fuck all wrong, would you take the wrap whatever it was...I fucking wouldn't.
If it hurts city or not,I for one will be boycotting all cl games next season.

Its corrupt to the core...Why city have accepted this i will never understand,we have failed fuck all woth the rules they set out initially.

The big question is the wording of some of the terms. A bit of clever wording and these things are opened up to all kinds of ambiguity and interpretation.
