Yeah, getting it worse than i've ever had it before. I used to just get shit from Utd fans but now i get it from pretty much everyone nowadays.
It used to just be a bit of lighthearted banter but now it's completely in your face stuff, felt like smacking a couple this week i must admit.

You're not alone. I too am subject to vitriol and bile from opposing fans ("Ha ha. All that money and you couldn't even beat Stoke").
I usually say: "What's with you lot suddenly being so concerned about little old City? A couple of years back you couldn't have given a fuck about our results or what we're doing. Now you scan every tabloid to see what we've done, where we're going, who's signing, etc".


Basically, up until now we were never considered a serious threat to the top 4 and their monopoly. Now things have changed and we've become a serious fucking threat to everyone. They know full well in the very near future one or two of them will be losing their place at the top of the tree, and us and the likes of Spuds and Villa are about to upset their cosy little cartel.

Being down in Warwickshire theres loads of them, one of them wished us luck with the old "do us a favour and beat Chelsea", I replied who are "you playing this weekend?", to which he replied "villa away i think"

All that fuss about the semi and stick from the twats including this same fella and they dont even know there team are in a final this weekend.

This guy I work with came up to me and said, smiling, " Stoke? really? You guys are a truly massive club." I shot back "f*** off, you gay idiot". I'm not a homophobe or anything- couldn't care less- but this guy has gay brother-in-law or something and it really got him fuming. i'm not proud of it but i snapped sort of. it shut him up tho so there you go.

And every time there is an upturn in our progress, they will do every fucking thing they can to avoid the subject of City. In contrast,yesterday I did not have fucking time to take my coat off before they were all on it - literally.

They gave me loads of shit about losing to Stoke, i just said it could have been worse, we could have lost to a third division side at home ( showing my age)
