How do you take freekicks on this one? I cant do them at all. On the old one I used to just hold l1 then pull down to make it more lofty but its well hard now.

If you want the complete lowdown on mastering freekicks like how to lay them off or drill them there is a demo with a voice over from Tyler. Go on my fifa 10, tutorial vids set peices.

Can anyone tell me which stadium belongs to which clubs ?

Obviously Anfield etc are obvious but the likes of Stade Municipal, El Bombastico, Stadio Classico ???

I take all free kicks the same way, if you look at my post from a page or two back, you can see me scoring one against Villa.

I never bother with laying it off etc, as they way I do it, if you get it right (by practice) it will always go in.

When taking the kick, dont be too heavy on the power, once you practice you will learn how much power you need, but hold the left analogue stick in the up position, then as he kicks it, move it to the left or right depending on which direction you want to curl it.

It does a top spin type free kick that curls and dips at the last minute. You have to aim about half a goal width to the side of where you want the ball to end up. So if your on the right hand side, with a right footed kicker, about 25 yards out. Aim to the right of the right post, forward on the left analogue, then move it left as he kicks it, and it will curl back into the goal. Try it a few times.

Yeah that what i do and it does work pretty well, like you say its about getting the right amount of power on to get it on target, i scored a cracker vs the scum with tevez. Also i sometimes like drilling it at the corner the keeper is at, if its fairly close and you get the right power he cant get down in time.

When you play online is there a way to get rid of the gigantic name tag over the player you control? it gets in the bastard way half the time

At the moment no, but EA have had alot of people complaining, so maybe they might release a patch and it will be removed.

Played some guy last night online, he was playing as Real Madrid, i was city as always, 20 minutes in and i'm 2-0 up, suprisingly enough he quit's, i get the win i know but i hate quitters, looking at his stats it looks like he quits alot.
