ive finally got round to getting it.

im liking this online division promotion/relegation thing.

whats this EA Shield all about?

the one that starts in 2 days ?

if it's the one, you start in round 32 playing against other players in the same round, same level. I've already won it once, final was nerve wracking cuz you don't want to lose it after winning 3 games in row. Though, if you fail, you can re-enter the competition as much as you want during the 3 days. and the cup opens every 2 weeks.

Currently in Division one, trying to win the league, but failed few times. got a good chance now, 9 points out of 5 games.

I play nothing but Online on FIFA 12, can't stand playing the computer, don't like the defensive controls (still!) Prefer UT, got a Liga BBVA squad atm. Opinions?

Turan - Nilmar - Di Maria

Sahin - Mascherano - Diego

Coentrao - Carvalho - Pepe - Arbeloa

Kameni

Not sure wether to keep it or sell and get a City team.

Might start a CM soon, just to see if I'd like it now.

Just got promoted to division 2 woooooooo !
I'm still yet to be relegated.. I managed to win my last 4 games to stay up in my first season in div 3, needed a win on last game and scored in 81st minute - Think I shot my load at that point

Needless to say I'm sure to get relegated this season :(

some advice for the people trying to get higher in the leagues;

play as 4* teams, you don't loose goals to stupid goals from ronaldo's, messi's etc

play as cameroon: eto'o, with webo behind, song in midfield have to move him from the reserves, as well as makoun, they have some really fast wingers as well.

play as belgium: with players like kompany, hazard, vertonghen, vermalen, lukaku and dembele, they're a really strong 4* team

and just in general i pack midfield out normally with a 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 and just play it around the middle of the park untill players apply pressure then just R1 pass the ball with quick one-two's, got me to division 1 anyway.

Thats just ultra negative. You are looking to play a game where you either defend to the point where a good player cant break you down, or by simply using Eto'o (for example) as an 88+ vs 4* defences as they cant get near him. Picking Cameroon or Anzhi to use Eto'o is the same as people exploiting Ronaldo and Messi, the only difference is that you face a 4* defence, not Kompany or Pique.

I persoanlly pick a team and use the default formation. If its Napoli with 3-4-3 then i will play that, Spurs 4-4-1-1. Barca 4-3-3 etc. Ive been promoted in every season so far (currently in 2, i played a lot in the first week and was in div 4 with all the Fifa players that played it 24/7 then stopped until recently. I play a lot of team play on YFL rather than 1v1s).

It really isn't hard to apply pressure and win, then when 1/2.0 up passing it around (not the back 4, the whole team) frustrating the other player into constant pressing of b or x then kicking it their net.

Negativity is pointless and cheap, it does not prove how good you are.

Its not negative, its tactical, drawing the player into making mistakes, and set formations usually don't bring the best out of players tbh

Ultimate Team. 4-2-2-2. 100% Chemistry.

Cech

Sergio Ramos - Terry - Kompany - A. Cole

Yaya - Essien

Van der Vaart - Nasri

Van Persie - Di Natale

Also Doumbia an 82 striker with 94 pace he's worth like 2000 coins, buy him. Quality player to bring on if you're losing in the 2nd half.

Using the word "usually" is correct as some players who win a lot are actually shit and only win due to negative formations, ultra defensive, cpu defending on clubs, general negativity.

As i said (i think your on PS3 so cant play you) good players dont need to rely on a packed midfield or Eto'o v 4* defences (between 70-80 players). Just simply win, within reason without needing to exploit extreme circumstances.

When i play against Madrid people that use Ronaldo are so predictable, (same applies to Messi-Barca, Robben/ Riber-Bayern, Ibra -Milan etc) pass to him, do skill, shoot from miles out etc. Its so easy to defend/ read its unreal.

Or if you really do need to win game use Stoke.

Crouch & Jones upfront with Pennant & Etherington on the wings & play Jerome in CAM so you got pace through the middle as well as the wings also play Palacios in CDM in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Just cross balls in all game, easiest way. I know it's boring and that but if you really do need to win a game that's the team to be. I've never been beat on Head to Head with Stoke.

finally managed to win the head-to-head league !

came close like 3 times before with 19 points !
