FIFA investigation: No transfer ban

The reaction to all these investigations and our performances has genuinely been quite surprising to see. It seems fans and commentators are desperate for some sort of downfall when it comes to us. It goes beyond the general 'team X is dominant, we enjoy more competition' which you can generally accept, this is pure envy and fear which is unprecedented. Absolute nonsense like we play 'boring football' and make 'tactical fouls' to scrutiny regarding Sheikh Mansour's wealth; scrutiny that has never taken place with any other non-Arab owner. I think as City fans we've all come to grips with it all in recent time and acknowledged it for what it is but it doesn't change the fact that it genuinely is an unprecedented sight.

Now that it's off the table, I have to say I would have found a 1 season transfer ban really interesting.

We have world class academy talent in Foden, Doyle, Garcia and THB, we've got some very talented players on loan and we have a squad which is so young that we can put out a team that would get 90+ points that's under 25 (Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, Rodri, Bernardo, Foden, Sané, Jesus, Sterling).

I genuinely think we could have gotten a 1 season transfer ban and it wouldn't have knocked us off stride. David Silva leaving would be the only thing that weakened our squad but we're all assuming Phil is his replacement anyway.

It would have been a lot of fun watching people get excited about a ban putting us in reach of the other clubs, only for them to find out they couldn't have been more wrong.

Hahahahaha hahahaha hahahahaha,oh dear poor media hoping for a transfer ban on city, now they can turn all their hatred onto the next one with uefa good luck with that hahahahaha..

The piss boiling in Merseyside must be evaporating by now after this.
Delaney has been quick to reassure that UEFA are due to make an announcement in September. I see their investigation is as watertight as ever!
