The only major impact it'll have is a couple of minor rule changes - mainly to offsides and handballs - down the line.

I will admit I do miss being able to immediately celebrate goals, but what I am most focused on (as anyone reading my posts on here, especially in the VAR thread, will know), is whether it will be just another tool for legitimising manipulations of match outcomes.

And I am not optimistic given the current opaque and inconsistent implementation, coupled with rampant historical corruption inherent in football in general.
