Fight in block 139

I was 2 rows behind this. Not sure what really started it but the woman was out of order as she had the young lad by the throat. Literally had to drag my wife back from wading in. Then one of the young lads in the group that
Code:
left came back giving it the big I am.

Stewards were non existent and useless when they did turn up.

Far too many people in the stadium with too much ale in them. I've been to a fair few away games and 2 or 3 Wembley games but I didn't enjoy yesterday. There was an uncomfortable edge about the atmosphere.

It also kicked off in 140 where one bloke looked as though he was going to push another over the rail at the stairwell.

What on earth happened in block 139 during yesterday's game? A fight between two groups broke out and there was definitely a young lad fighting a woman amongst it all. One group left amid a hail of shouting and punches. Then some of them were coming back up the tunnel to have another go. People all around were getting involved and it seemed to simmer for the rest of the game. Not nice at all.

You should have steamed in and spoke to them in a condesceding manner Dave..Im sure they would have politely shut up and sat down.. ;)

We got the back row of 137 as I knew most would stand but I knew wouldn't be getting any stick for standing. Saw no hassle near us though

We were in 139, some loud mouth woman and her equally loud mouthed son were ushered out, also another lad whose top had been ripped. Saw a dad carry his crying child out of the way before the stewards arrived.

Probably due to the stand/sit argument, group of us were standing half way up (rows 32/33) but everyone behind was sitting.

I was left wondering what went on between the 3 who were ushered out, seemed to spark out of nothing, feel for the Dad and the crying son to be honest it wasn't a proud day to be a cityfan the enjoyment of the many ruined by a select few.
This happened right behind me and my 10 year old, don't know what sparked it but the fella who took his 6 year old out was involved,as we're his 2 older teenage sons(one of whom was giving it the large with the woman and the 2 who were escorted out) it was disgusting behaviour whatever the reason when there are young kids about at their first Cup Final. Stewards were very slow to react which made situation worse. This all happened in the second half, after as someone else has mentioned it nearly kicked off in the first half with 1 group refusing to sit down until the steward told them too. The events of yesterday just prove that late kick-offs don't work when you have a load of pissed up morons looking for a fight.

Get it right - you have a load of pissed up morons looking for a fight because of the late kick off. We really needed more fights so the FA don't do it again.

It was a vile atmosphere all day. It was horrendous in Block 138, a gobshite screaming at all around him to sing and then offering everybody out who told him to shut up. When there was a chant he stood there swaying too pissed to join in. A complete moron. As for the 17/18 year old kid directly behind me, I have never come across such a foul mouthed, aggressive imbecile in all my days and his father allowing him to act in such a way wants shooting. two little kids next to me looked scared to death. In 39 years as a City fan I can't remember being so depressed. Not just about the result and performance but they amount of idiots in our support yesterday.

Why do so many seem to think a trip to Wembley is a reason to get drunk, never seen so many in a bad state at a match. One in the toilet near block 550 stood with his head on the sink groaning (at the end of the game) looked like he had been there for some time. The atmosphere generally was poor, going up the escalator everyone seemed to be talking about Sky rumours about Manchini. Nowhere near the same excitement as last time or the semi this year, why? Do not know if it was the rumours or the poor performance of our team but there seemed a lot of aggro amongst our own fans. There were two middle aged fans (for ffs) have a right go at each other on the stairs going out.

-- Sun May 12, 2013 3:42 pm --
