Would absolutely shit myself if I saw that out of the window when on a plane.

To maintain close range visual contact with the aircraft and indeed to destroy the aircraft if it threatens the airport/civilian population on the ground.
 
Airport saying it is back to normal. Also, pic of plane on the ground on that lad's twitter account. Seems it is close to some cargo planes. With it being close to other aircraft, it would suggest maybe all is ok - hope it is.
 
What got me is by the time it flew over my house (Cheadle) it wasn't just escorting the Quatar plane in it was all over it , left right ,up down front back the fuckin lot. Scary shit if you were on board.

The noise was incredible.
Looks like all is fine , thank God.

If it proved to be a threat, that's exactly what they'd do. Shoot it out of the sky to minimise the losses.
