Fighting in the concourse

Every time I read this thread the Specials, Ghost Town, comes to mind.

This town (town) is coming like a ghost town
All the clubs have been closed down
This place (town) is coming like a ghost town
Bands won't play no more
Too much fighting on the dance floor

I don't remember any NF at City. I have been to nearly every home game since 1974. I remember them being present at Birmingham, Leeds and Chelsea predominantly.
Surprised about Birmingham, always assumed they had a very diverse fanbase back then hence why their frim was called the zulus (could be wrong was before my time)

when i went away in the 70s, there were a few singing a certain song about the NF,

Prior to Ron Atkinsons arrival at OT and signing a couple of black players United seemed to attract racists. Common to see
M U NF C graffiti in Manchester and Salford in the late 70s. They had a delightful little ditty to the tune of Get Back by the Beatles .
Kippax, Kippax, Kippax is where the w*g* belong.
Rags brain dead even in those days.
Play the YouTube highlights of West Brom beating the Rags in 79(?) at the Swamp. You can hear lots of monkey noises coming from the home areas when Regis or Cunningham are on the ball. Sindstadt calls them out at one point on the commentary.

Remember that game racist rag morons shown up as Regis, Cunningham and Batson had stormers and West Brom won 5 2 ?

Apparently they became the Zulus
After a large battle with City on Claremont Rd in the early 80s iirc.
There were a few black lads on either side but largely white lads.
I think the name came about because of the sheer numbers that day and probably the noises both groups were making.

I remember loads of them mate, a couple have passed now, I could name a few but don't want to give the any kind of notoriety, proper scumbags really hope they've changed their views and ways I'm not very hopeful though.
