Film extras ... anyone done any work ?

I can't find the Bluemoon Jobs thread. Has it gone?

Anyway, here's something that might appeal to a few.

What the feck is a super fan and who would say they were a super fan? I don’t even wear colours when going to a game.

I used to work with a bloke who did a bit of extras work. He once had to be a customer in the Woolpack and pretend to be asleep, and he said it took all day to complete the filming. I asked him what he did in between scenes and he said he just went for a kip. Sounds like my kind of job.

My daughter at a young age played a part in BBC drama called Stretford wives.
She also made a film which only came out on DVD called re inventing Eddie. Me and my lad were extra’s in that.

acting lol got roped into police identification parade once when truck driver parked up in Northampton 9 of us, the accused asked for solicitor to accompany him while waiting free beer all round in police station bar. to say she picked him out easy is understatement he was only one not pissed
I thought you we going to say she picked you out of the line up & if you behave you should be out in about 6 months :-)

He didn`t tell you that he also appeared as one of the Seven Dwarves with Snow White.
Cheeky. I was not a small stature actor in either movie. Return of the Jedi Endor scenes were filmed in Califirnia - I was in some if the Death Star and Hoth (Studio) scenes.
I was 16 when Yanks was fimed in many North West locations. I wangled an equity card from that work (Bury, Ashton, Stockport locations) that opened a few doors.

On one of our holidays to Dalyan, Turkey, around 1996, we were approached by a BBC employee, and asked if we would return to the taverna we were in the next evening, and be in the background as they filmed for the Holiday programme.
No payment, but meal and drinks would be paid for.
We, and others agreed. The presenter was Monty Don. Everyone was under strict instructions that we wasn't to approach or speak to "Mr Don".
Following filming, the crew and us extras sat at a huge table, had great food, got pissed and had a top night.
Mr Don meanwhile alone at a table in a corner with a book, looking every bit the sad, miserable twat the crew all were saying he is most all the time. :-)
