A Clockwork Orange - too hard to follow to be anything other than a waste of time and effort

just out of curiosity, what do you find hard to follow about it? is it the strange dialect?

Yes. I found it distracting to the point that I could not follow and therefore enjoy the movie.

Edit: I tried reading the book with, frankly, the same outcome.

Anyone who says Predator is shit wanks camels for crack.

Abso-fucking-lutely.

Predator is the most badass film ever made.
The sequel was/is better. The whole premise lends itself more to the urban setting. Plus; no Arnie, which is a bonus!

Screw you man! Arnie is a fucking legend!

No I much prefer the jungle setting, you can just feel the heat, the tension, the realisation that they are being hunted by 'something'.

Plus, predator 2 didn't have arnie, which is a damn shame.

A Clockwork Orange. Completely and utterly boring overated crock of shit.
Hard to see what all the fuss is about going by, and this is the important bit, today's standards. To think that it was banned and criticized for being too violent is very hard to fathom. Plus, it isn't that good a film.

It wasn't banned. It was heavily cut by the BBFC, and Kubrick decided to withdraw it, rather than have it circulate in a way that was less complete than he intended.
My mistake. It's still very tame by today's standards. Probably was pretty radical by the standards of the day though (early 70's). Plus, it isn't that good a film. Definitely one of Kubrick's weaker efforts.

Forgive me if already mentioned, but my nomination is Citizen Kane. What a pile of crap.
Can't agree with that I'm sorry.

I was very sceptical before I saw it, but I fell in love with it. Decades ahead of its time.

And to think that it was Welles' first film... what a debut.

true but the really amazing thing about orson welles is that his career went ino reverse. started out by making citizen kane, never remotely reached the same heights again, went into gradual decline and ended up making commercials for domecq sherry. then he died.
A Touch of Evil is far superior. Wheelsy, it was ahead of its time and was incredibly original. However, as a film it doesn't transcend its time, it's cack given how good people make out it is.

Pulp Fiction (most overrated pile of shite ever)
This is England
Reseviour(sp) Dogs
The Exorcist
Paranormal Activity 1 and 2

Just too many to name.
