Finally Messi?!

If we have a chance to sign the greatest player of all time for 6 months we then go for it . Just seeing him in a city shirt is enough for me .

How's he doing in that joke league he's playing in aa the moment.
I don't waste my time with soccer.
He is the best player since Maradona.
And we can't be worse than we have been.

Another George Weah type signing. I believe we must plan for the future. Messi would have been icing on the cake we had last year, not this. Just my view of course.

Argentina structure their team around Messi and they do well. That's really the only way to use him. Don't think he has a full season at the most intense league in the world but he'd have a tournament level schedule in him.

Off the ball yes, on the ball, quickest we will have been in years. Messi is high octane on the ball, all his energy goes in to this aspect. We would need runners and off ball movement with him in the side more than ever which is the stumbling block.

The reason we are losing points is not the inability to score as much as letting in some fuckin' howlers with, shall I say unlucky defending, or kamikaze defending. I thought we were bad when EFC had four on two plus Steffen, until I saw the Wolves two on Onana! Remember blues, there's always someone worse off than us!

Love to find out though. Many teams would just stand back and watch him. He’d lift us fans, all of the players. Imagine the impact on the academy too.
 
We don’t need Messi, when we’ve got McAtee!
But seriously, we need a Rodri, & some defenders as well if we’re going to loan Messi for 6 months.
Might improve the mood for 2025 if nothing else
