Some do mate I agree. I think the pitch invasions were great for a while but the size of sanctions against the Club mean that we should change our ways. It may be unfair but the media will exaggerate and say we’ve assaulted opposition players to damage our reputation.Fans may be more passionate in mainland Europe, but they still have fences in most grounds, hence no pitch invasions.
I think the main sanction was a £260k fine with the threat of a more serious punishment next time round. Maybe a partial stadium closure or a bigger fine I guess.I can recognise that employing a few extra security for a likely pitch invasion game is going to cost money. I can’t believe for one second that when they’re discussing season ticket prices for the following season, the cost of a replacement goalpost is going to be factored into the thinking.
Think of him top man when I see players from every team do that sliding on knees malarkey after they've scored and they'd prob have got that fork wrapped around their swede if Stan was still grounds man. Hypocritical me in Edinburgh waiting for flight to Copenhagen later says " what a privilege to have been at the emirates on New Year's Day seeing Rodri do it. We're City we are exempt from stuff ha ha.Stan Gibson the groundsman at maine rd would of been pulling his hair out anyone going on his turf ,he would of been knocking heads off lol!
