Fined £260,000 for Villa pitch invasion.

Indeed. But the ramifications of that and Utd's inability to control it had significant financial knock-on effects which should have been punished IMO and weren't. I said that when no fine was imposed.

Not saying what our fans did was right, and we probably should be fined, though the amount seems utterly preposterous relative to the financial impact, which was near zero.

I'm thinking about the money cost, not the "danger" or the criminality of either event. I'm in finance FFS :)
On what grounds though? i get what you are saying and no doubt in hindsight they’d have acted more robustly to stop them getting in.

What could the club do to stop the Liverpool bus being surrounded and unable to move?

- went onto the pitch a couple of times now
- did a knee slide
- touched the centre spot
- touched the cross bar
- took some grass
- did it with my father

Memories til I die. Sorry for nothing.
Cheers for picking up the bill city ;)

It is your right of passage. Are you a marcher or an anti marcher

Fuck me another thread full of miserable old curmudgeons having a pop at the young and the young at heart for the crime of having fun.

Isn’t it time for your afternoon sleep ?
funny how some people equate fans that do as the club ask - and who do not commit criminal offences - as being miserable and old. Is it because you only talk about it to your school friends

Oh dear - why are you so angry?
No - the goalie wasn't under the posts but he was roughed up by a passing 'fan'
Yes dear, we did win the league you're quite right
why do you hope it bothers me? and why does my opinion on pitch invasions mean I do everything by the book?

Is it a bad thing to do things by the book - or do you only like and look up to those that don't

either way, your the one that seems very miserable and upset because your views are questioned
Roughed up?

You need to get out more.

I get pissed off when the likes of you try to be a smart arse with snide comments

Sums it up - do me a favour

Those who ran on the pitch did so in pure celebration, the likes of the FA and you would rather that was reduced to simply clapping as directed

It's football, it's means a lot to people. It costs a lot financially and emotionally. Why stop that for what was an innocent bump into the goalie and some goal posts that were snapped.

Has it come to that
