Fireworks masterstroke

I just don't understand the thinking behind turning up at a ground to let off fireworks, wasting a hefty amount of money and missing the game you've been waiting all week to watch. What do they get out of it?

I suppose they had to find a use for them now that their title party fireworks show is cancelled.
There wasn't any!

Would have been quite funny if they'd set them off when Salah was taking his penalty and put him off. They do love a bit of self-sabotage after all.

I tell American non-football (soccer) fans about that goal regularly and have done over many, many years and not a single one has believed me when I tell them the goal stood. LOL.

What I love is how they always have some harebrained scheme to give their team an advantage. It's like they're being supported by Wile E Coyote or something. Next time we go there, the goal will just be painted onto the side of a cliff.
Hahaha made me chuckle this.

Surprised nobody was stood on the roof of the stadium with an anvil and a stick of TNT

Meep meep!

We are that irrelevant to them (According to RAWK) that they actually went too shops too purchase fireworks rather than put food on their tables or clothes on their kids backs, to set off, too try and spur their team on and show how ‘this means more’. And They only do it when we play there!
I can only laugh at their own stupidity.

You mean they didn't show the same fanatical support during the world's biggest derby game a couple of weeks back. Which Means More?

The fireworks are being set off by a group called "against players taking the knee " or something like that.
They are targeting games live on TV where the players take the knee.

Then why let them off at the start of the 2nd half? Would make sense to let them off when players were actually taking the knee if that were the case. They need their heads tested any which way you look at it.

When that superb display happened at Stockport a few weeks back against the Hammers in the FA Cup, it was for a reason not connected with football at all. It was to highlight the tragic event that happened when a police car on a domestic call knocked a teenager off his scooter, the injuries turned out to be fatal. That I can understand, and have a great deal of sympathy with the young lads family and friends.

They don't need to feed the sprogs as Marcus be doing that.

I wonder what it’s like. Set some fireworks off outside a quite deserted stadium. Go back to the car, turn on radio, shit we’re getting anally fucked. Cry, go home drink Stella and beat the wife? Fucking sad cunts lmao.
They did the same at the post lockdown game at our place, remember, when they tried to make it coincide with the ‘guard of honour’
Instead, Bernie casually supping a chai latte while wearing Ederson’s big coat attracted more attention

It's a group on Facebook, I know because I was sent an invitation to join
Is it balls, it’s Dippers thinking they are The most fanatical supporters. Setting off fireworks thinking they are Istanbul’s finest. nonces all of them.

Question.

If the lockdown is all but lifted by May, the pubs are open, etc, and City are Champions before they go into their last home match of the season against Everton, would any of you go down to the Etihad before the game, and give the players on the coach a welcome as the coach leaves the CFA and drives to the Etihad, which might include flares(not trousers),fireworks, etc, or is that too Dipper?

It would be sad to not recognise the teams achievement of winning the PL title, if they do?

I appreciate it's a fad that a lot of fans are doing, but it is what it is, and it's one of the ways the fans can express their gratitude towards the players and the team. Whether the players think it is or not, is another matter.
