When you read that, you can understand why Slur Alex and Gill have shuffled offstage. I know we all see the rags as some sort of unstoppable behemoth, but in both commercial and footballing terms, I'm confident that the next stage of our development will be about knocking them off their pedestal in an even more concrete way than last season's title win and the 6 - 1. It'll be about making them feel small. Which I suspect the deal for NYCFC has gone some way to doing already.

Chants like that just don't happen in England. We sing more rather than tribal style chants. It makes me think people suggesting that don't go to city very often- would sound great, but can't see it ever happening.

After a few of us complaining slightly that we hadn't heard enough from sorriano, he has really said some quality stuff this week. With the deal with New York, and the way he has presented himself, and city's aims, I am more confident than ever about the future. Can't wait for next season. He has said everything we would like to hear...
