Those giggs at Maine Rd were brilliant, seemed to be warm at every one ,carnival atmosphere until the Oasis ones which were carnage .

I saw Floyd, stones and Oasis there, all great gigs

Stiff Little Fingers July 1980 Coventry Locarno

Bloody hell,you know somert,I thought that place was just a made up name,as sung by The Specials in Friday night/Saturday morning song,but it makes sense now,with them being from there,fuck me it's a small and weird world we live in,I have lived a sheltered life at times though I think to myself,I've just googled Locarno Coventry and there it is/was,looks like it has gone these days

Edit- Just looked into it further,and it is now Coventry Central Library I think !!! You might know different ?

First gig of choice was The Beat at the Apollo.
