First one when I left school was a YTS/YOP scheme as a trainee butcher in Northern Moor (opposite the Park Pub almost) 25 sovs a week.

Now at 44 ? sort of inbetween careers really, recently was a plumbing/heating/gas engineer but hasn`t worked out as I`d expected for a myriad of reasons.

I like to think of myself like that line from the Baz Luhrman song :-

"the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they
wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year
olds I know still don’t".

Ofcourse it`s not true but it gets me by :-)

First job one of Maggie's slaves (youth opportunity scheme) concreting and walling at Rochdale Hornets Rugby ground for £25 per week.

Haven't had a proper job since 1997 I resigned a post as regional operations manager for a pub company to travel, though I worked in a dive shop in Thailand for a while.

Last thing I did for profit was to renovate a house which I sold about three years ago.

Currently looking for new opportunity.
