First Thing You Remember Collecting As A Kid.

I used to buy Marvel comics. I wish I had kept them, probably worth money now. Football cards was a big thing too.
I had a box load of Victor's, first wife threw them all in a passing bin lorry because she said they were just "clutter"

What's happened to all those yellow caterpillars and hairy maries that used to be all over certain trees, are they still there or have we just stopped looking for them?

These, the gum was rank but the cards were great.
 
Bloody hell this brings back memories.In the 1950`s we had bubble gum machines and they had one circular bubble gum and an Aircraft Collectors card all for the pricely sum of 1d.
There were 100 cards to the set but I never completed the set.
 
And collecting number plate prefixes in my i-spy book of number plates. The first three letters designated in which area of Britain the plate was issued. LNB would have been Manchester for example.
 
Top Trumps!
Used to love these, matchbox, forign coins and with much embarrasement, bird eggs. I'd walk miles of hedges and fields looking for the damn things, ashamed that I did it as I'm still into watching and identifying birds and even finding nests but would never take an egg now
