First Thing You Remember Collecting As A Kid.

And collecting number plate prefixes in my i-spy book of number plates. The first three letters designated in which area of Britain the plate was issued. LNB would have been Manchester for example.

Ah hem....close but it was the last 2 of the 3. Manchester went from NA to NF. Cornwall was CV, AF and RL. I only know this because I was a sad child and used to go to Cornwall a lot. The original Manchester plates was just letter N followed by a number.

Miniatures, beer mats and of course football programmes (Still collect those) and ex wives.

Comics, I had all the 2000AD ISSUES FROM 1-200(ish) my mum chucked them out while I as at school, never forgiven her! My sister seemed to inherit the same trait, about 10 years ago she let me store my collection of vinyl at her place while I moved house, after telling her they were worth a few quid, she proceeded to dumped them in her shed, which had leaky roof, and a rat/mice problem, they got chewed up and wet, so she chucked them out as well!
I also used to collect the topps Star Wars bubblegum cards, I can still smell them now just by thinking of them

mid 60`s, remember collecting man from uncle cards, American civil war and some kind of space aliens, 6d for 3 cards and some right shitty bubble gum. If I
remember, when you had the full set of 48 ? if you turned them over and placed them together in order they made a poster . anyone else of you old bastards remember these ?
I had the Man from UNCLE ones.
There were also some WW2 ones I had.
Other than that had a flirtation with philately
and I had a stack of comics, The Valiant and DC comics were my favourites.
