My bad...although TBF I was thinking of one season rather than 12 months i.e. following up a season where we have won the league or FA Cup but following up an EPL & UCL winning season with a Septuple winning might just shut the moaners up.

Fucking stupid to compare those eras

People can call the OP spoilt, ungrateful etc but Im sure the likes of Silva, Aguero, Kompany, Khalddon (only have to watch his end of season interview after the QPR match) would have liked to won more especially after the first title win. If the club fails to win the Fa Cup this season, then the last three season's would have produced just the one league cup. Piss poor considering the money spent.

Junior kippax . For 30 plus years we won zippo.
I am enjoying the last 5 years . Beating that lot in Fa cup semi and the QPR day were 2 of the best days of my life.
If we never win anything again ( which I very much doubt ) in my lifetime . I will die a very happy blue .

This sort of threads drive me bonkers and I only peek at them to test my blood pressure medication.

I've been a season-ticket holder since before many on here were born and where we are now means so much to me. I love that the club wants to play entertaining football. Winning trophies is great and I dream of Guardiola doing the Quadruple (Quintuple, if you count the Community Shield) but I don't need my club to win everything all the time to be entertained or proud of where my club is.

I would love my club to stop being perennial underachievers and I want Guardiola to be given the time and backing to be the guy that finally does that but what underachievement amounts to these days is so much better than it was for most of this club's history.

We are blessed at the moment and we should just enjoy it.

Perspective is what's needed here. Real Madrid have spent over £800M since City were taken over and have won precisely one less league title. Spending the money is the easy bit, translating that into continuous success is sometimes much more challenging. As for comparing eras? I just know I'd rather have this one than the awful stuff we had to watch throughout the 80's, 90's and most of the noughties!!

They've won two CLs as well though plus they'll probably add another title this season.

Not saying the club is in a bad position but to not challenge for the title the past three seasons has been a huge disappointment coupled with the fact we've been poor in most cup competitions.

Madrid have also won two CL's since we were taken over but I get your point .

EDIT , only just seen deaf guys post ,the worrying thing is we have been out of the PL race for the past three seasons with 10 games to go, whichever way it's dressed up it's fucking garbage.
