Just received a response to my email asking for Spurs to be reinstated on my season ticket (I put it on Ticket Exchange as on holiday) saying they won’t because it’s been sold (but I’ve received no communication to that effect). Pretty naffed off to say the least!

That's crazy, a S/T holder should have priority to attend the rearranged match, it's hardly your fault that the original date was scrubbed.

It's something worth raising with the new City Matters S/T rep.

But if you had bought the ticket on the Ticket Exchange and paid for it you wouldn't want to be told you had to hand it back! The original writer wasn't going to go to this game because he was on holiday and he is still not going! Just bad luck as I don't think the club will sell him another ticket at season ticket prices.

Which is why it should be raised with CM, the T&Cs should be changed IMO so that the S/T holder gets priority on the rearranged date. As it will probably be played in midweek there's every chance that the buyer won't be able to attend.

It would be nice if the club could offer another ticket at season ticket prices. However, under your suggestion the money paid by the buyer would have to be refunded with an explanation that the ticket he had bought was no longer usable. It is also not 100% guaranteed that the season ticket holder would able to attend the midweek game. I think there is a limit to what a commercial operation are going to do to help someone who has just made a decision they now want to change.

100% this.

No chance the S/T will be re-instated. The s/t holder has sold the ticket back to MCFC for 1/19th and that's the deal done.
Legally they wouldn't be able to take back the ticket from the new purchaser - they have bought a ticket for City v Spurs with T&Cs probably saying if match postponed it is valid on any new date.
In any case logistically a nightmare contacting and refunding say 4000 people who bought the new ticket. They might agree to refund if requested though and then the ticket up for grabs again and, no doubt, at full rate.

I'm on a concession s/t and if sold on the exchange I get £20 and the club sell it at like £65ish for this game. No way they'd sell it back to me for £20.
