Why don’t they just extend the season by a week

In Liverpool they want to scrap the whole thing, treat Aug-Nov as exhibition matches and just have the 2022/23 season based on boxing day onwards. I don't know why.

Cancelling next week made more sense than (knee-jerk) this one … funeral might be Monday but four days leading up to it is viewing at westminister and world leaders all coming in over that weekend, police will be escorting them back and forth and securing them somewhere … 5 or 6 US presidents current and past alone in London and that’s just the starting point, at least another 100+ heads of states would be around, there is serious doubts especially for games in and around London that weekend. And it’s not said aloud but if Liverpool fans don’t behave this mid-week during the minute silence, FA is bound to shut down all football next weekend.

Brentford and Chelsea both due to play Sunday. Can’t see them going ahead
