Due to the domino effect they need to start playing Tues and Thurs (both) rather then fuck up another fixture, which then messes up another two teams, and then more, as there are no gaps left.

Arsenal away could now be in doubt as there's not many midweeks available to reschedule the psv game and that midweek if rumoured to be favourite
I wonder if they could have looked at swapping the home and away games against PSV to avoid a pile-up, Eindhoven is hardly the other side of Europe to arrange it at short notice.

We contribute relatively nothing financially compared to prize money and tv money.

We need football more than they need us unfortunately.
True that the paying supporter has comparatively little relevance financially these days, but the tv won't be paying premium fees for long if there was an ongoing backdrop of empty terraces and no atmosphere (oh, how we split our sides when idiots suggest that's what we, at City, have already!). I was grateful for the diversion of tv football during covid, but wouldn't be watching it in any other circumstances if that were 'the product'.

According to the rumour mill, the Spurs game is due to be re-arranged for January sometime. We were going up for this game (from Bedford). Want to go Wednesday too, usual lads can't make it and whenever that happens, I drive on my own (3 hours). Being a night game, always usually and prefer to go with the usual, helps stay awake on the way home. If I don't go to this now my next City fix will be United at home as can't make the Wolves game.

Withdrawal symptoms

No indication that it will force any PL games to be rescheduled at this stage. Different broadcasters involved makes it even more unlikely. I'd say they'll either have to play it in January or - possibly more likely, PSV will be awarded the points.

This happened last year when Spurs called off a game against Rennes due to Covid.

They have already messed the fans about with Arsenal vs PSV they might aswel have played Thursdays game behind closed doors for them to carry on with fixtures and avoid a pile up

Then they would need a police prescence to deal with the supporters that would still turn up at the ground trying to get in (both home and away)
