Fixtures Calendar - 2023/24

Was there not an helicopter involved between Sunderland and the Etihad in our last gasp 2012 title win.
No. There are two PL trophies - one that the champions keep and an identical one for promotional use (that’s the trophy you sometimes see in TV studios during big games).
When there are two possible winners on the last day, there’s a trophy at each venue where the contenders are playing. It happened for our wins in 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2022.

So possibly one at Arsenal and then another one hovering over the NW just in case all 3 of us can win.

Sounds like a logical solution if it comes to that.
My own hunch is that by the final day there will only be two possible winners but I've been wrong too many times to wager anything on that definitely happening!

Fuck knows why they need a helicopter,a deliveroo cyclist would do as the trophy never leaves Glasgow.
Aberdeen and Dundee United won in the early 1980s. Hearts 'thought' they were going to win it in 1986 with a two point lead and a far superior goal difference going into the last match (two points for win back then). Hearts held out at Dundee until the last few minutes when Albert Kidd came off the bench to score two goals for Dundee. Meantime Celtic won 5-0 at St Mirren (with an ex-Celtic player in goal!). Since then only Aberdeen (two points adrift), in 1991, have got anywhere near the title apart from the gruesome twosome.

Don't forget the one at Mary D's on matchdays. £10 for a photo opportunity. The guy assured me it was the real thing.

For Brighton and Forest away: is there a chance we play our semi on 1 May (if we get through) and these away dates stay as they currently are?
Or would our semi definitely be 30 April?
It’s not clear and UEFA’s website is as useful as a solar powered torch! IMG_0147.jpeg

We could play on either date should we go through. The schedule for the semi finals isn't confirmed until after the quarter finals are completed - last year details were announced late on the Wednesday night an hour or so after the second legs were over so if same happens this year, we'll know shortly after the Madrid game.
Consequently, dates/times of the Brighton and Forest games won't be confirmed until then either.

If we reach the semi the first leg would either be 30th April in which case the league games move. If the first leg is the Wednesday (May 1) the league games stay as they are and we would play Thursday, Sunday, Wednesday.
