Flat track bullies.

Third in the league. League cup semi's. Topped our Champions league group.

Sad to say but there are a lot of blues who can't handle the pressure of challenging for trophies, were 3 pts off top, in semi's of LC topped CL group and its december ffs.

Not these arguments again. Although the facts described above seems to be good, we could not beat even a single big team convincingly.

1. Got thrashed by spurs 4-1
2. Got thrashed by Liverpool 4-1
3. Drawn with the scum, whom every other average pl/cl teams are beating
4. schooled by Arsenal 2-1
5. Got beaten both times by the only team in cl group stage which comes close to barca/bayern/Real level

When you look into the squad we have and to the results mentioned above, they doesn't seem that much convincing.

Incredible that he's still below Mourinho this season.

Tbf we still have the home games to come v most of the top sides. But you can see how the trend has been dropping as Pellegrini's defence takes over from Mancinis. Nine defeats compared to 3 each from the turtle & the Gone One.

Seen as you mentioned Mancini, for comparative purposes:

Pld: 35
Won: 15
Drawn: 10
Lost: 10
Scored: 50
Conc: 36
Pts: 55

Win % - 43%
PPG - 1.6

Yes Mancini has managed more games than Pellegrini, however he also took over a squad that was light years away from where it is now, and he still had a better PPG ratio than Pellegrini (which has surprised me tbh).

It's clear Pellegrini has improved the attacking side of things as City have scored 52 goals in just his 25 big games, whereas Mancini only managed 50 in 35 games. However, to no surprise to many I would imagine, defensively there has been a serious deterioration, with Pellegrini's City conceding 37 goals in 25 big games compared to Mancini's 36 in 35.

Attacking football will always be the fan's preferred though, but the respective GD of the two managers is fairly well balanced (Pellegrini +15 and Mancini +14).

Cricketing term.....an average batsmen can look good on a lifeless wicket. Graeme Hick springs to mind.
