I'm over in Spain atm. Was thinking of driving to Valencia yesterday but decided not to. It looks like the storms caught everyone by surprise.

Spanish news reports the worst natural disaster in Spains history. The weather report said something to do with the excessive heat over Spain meeting the cold water. Stay at home a lot of people died in their cars, emergency meeting at half past ten

The bad weather isn’t over yet a lot of people still trapped in their cars the trains are cancelled the Spanish parliament suspended devastating biblical proportions

Fuck me you don't stand a chance in that do you, will be a lot of dead as you have no time to react.

Absolutely awful. I'm pretty central and it was a bit windy yesterday but didn't seem to rain that much. We received government alerts on our phones last night and this morning, the internet was down and schools have been closed but everything looked ok outside. It wasn't until I saw the images this morning that I realised the extent of the damage and some of the places are only a few minutes away (including my way to work which is completely flooded).

Thoughts to the families that have lost loved ones.

Bad that. I'm currently sat on the beach in benidorm so about 100 miles away and it's hot today. Was raining a little bit yesterday so must have been the back end of what they were getting in valencia.
