Florian Wirtz

IMO Most likely He either stays in Leverkusen till 2026. If he moves this summer its definitely US. Madrid aint spending aparently and Bayern cant pay that money. It has to be us. Its too perfect not to be us. The 10 spot is waiting to be filled
Thats my guess too. He stays at Leverkusen for anoher year then gives himself more flexaiblity to choose from Madrid or Bayern.

Very hard to compete with cosmopolitan & cultured cities like Munich and Madrid.

He joins us. One reason and one reason only Pep. Bayern have Kompany but he’s unproven he will win the league this year but doesn’t have the reputation of improving players yet. There’s been multiple briefs from Germany all season that the coach will factor massively in Wirtz decision.

Two knowing Madrid and following Spanish football Madrid are in a mess financially. High wages and now concert deal worth 360 million is being cancelled or is in danger of going. It’s why there’s a push from their side for a super league.

City can offer Wirtz. Kevs position , Kevs wages and to have the team built around him. Following German football all Wirtz is worried about is the World Cup year and playing his football in a first team to get his position in the national team. Madrid that’s a hard proposition to keep with their midfield talents. Bayern don’t have a coach he’d want to go to.

That leaves city. Which has the coach , has first team football for him. And the wages that he would want with his talent. The only thing stopping him coming is England and he loves Germany.

You need to be more concerned about your better players otherwise they'll end up like 'Arry Hotspur. No medals. Continue like that and they'll be off.

DeBruyne has more offensive output, Wirtz is probably the more complete player when it comes to defense and possession game according to these stats. Not quite a 1 to 1 replacement.

Somewhere deep down, I’m still traumatized by Leroy. As much as I’d absolutely love to get him, I can’t shake the fear that in three years — right as he hits his prime — he’ll start flirting with Bayern and push for a return to Germany, especially once Pep’s gone (which is happening sooner rather than later).

The thought of dealing with that circus all over again would be unbearable.

Why worry about it before we even know if we are getting him. If it happens it happens.

Until then someone else will exist who might be even better

Depends whether we're signing a footballer or a tourist really doesn't it. Leverkusen is quite an industrial city, he might like Manchester. Salary and potential success/opportunity usually come into it more than whether there's good shopping and eateries. If we've got Pep and we continue to pay the big money we do for players, we can compete with the majority of teams in the world.

This is the opinon of someone who has never been to either , never been to manchester and thinks that london is the centre of the world, in other words a cockney idiot
