Florian Wirtz

It's a mistake to let an important player, especially if he's your first choice and has high technical value, go to a rival. This reminds me of the deals for Rice, which Arsenal secured, and Van Dijk, which Liverpool secured.

Refusing to continue negotiations on the grounds of a player's late response or financial demands is wrong, especially if the player's technical value is high and if he will influence your style of play and your chances of success. I don't want Liverpool to sign Wirtz. Letting him go to a rival would be a huge mistake on the part of management.

No it isn’t. If a player tells you they want to obliterate your wage structure and oh by the way they’ll let you know in a few weeks if they’re up for it should their first choice falls through, ending negotiations is entirely prudent

We don’t have infinite funds. Would we have been a better team this with Wirtz, or with two actual fullbacks and a pair of midfield dynamos?

Also, people keep harping on about Declan Rice when he had no intention of joining us, and also has not actually improved Arsenal at all. Their points total is decreasing year on year and they were much better to watch before he signed for them

Aye OK. We need serious investment to keep up. We will.end up regretting not chasing top players. But you go ahead and pack it in.
But that’s not what you said, is it? You said whomever we signed would end up playing shite sideways football. So there’s no need for serious investment because it’s going to be shit anyway, right?

Does this development mean we put phil in central mid to take kdb's reigns?

Or do we get someone else identified?

I reckon phil could fill that gap, as long as we get adequate midfielder(s) around him

Rodri returning will be a game changer as well

Unfortunately we got played by his entourage and he never wanted us. Much as some people want to blame the club, we did everything to try and bring a ready made player as a KDB replacement. There’s nothing more that could have been done, sometimes we also have to accept clubs like Bayern simply have greater appeal for German players and hence it was a losing game. We move, was my dream signing but I also did not think he was €150m good. Our priority has to rebuild a balanced squad, then chase players with X factor to carry over the line in big moments.

Reijnders #8, Phil #10
Gibbs-White as a squad player for both?

Could well be...i know nothing about this reijnders player only heard of him from here last week.

But if we stick phil in as the creative mid, that allows us to strengthen elsewhere with quality.

an on-form foden can definately do that role - so maybe now is the time going into the CWC and next season

To me the only good signing we have mad formour team is Gvardiol.

Håland is a great player and it was a great deal. However he is not a great player in our team. We were better off with a false nine or a striker like Aguero.

Gvardiol is a beast

Grealish is average and we would be better off playing our own young players and getting quality in from La Liga or Bundesliga for half the price. They also would spend less time in the boozer and more in the gym and on the training pitch.

Haaland and moosh are excellent signings.

Haaland only stale cause of our tactics. We need to open up teams more for him and have him move around more even though it’s not what he’s known for.

He can do it.

Had we signed the right striker we would not have needed that Kane, Isak etc. Most likely we would be sitting here with more trophies.

Foden’s not creative enough for the 10 position. We all hoped he would eventually be that player but it doesn't look like its going to happen!!

Foden is not an answer to replace Kdb ,we should go for Bruno gumaires

Nobody knows, as yet. Today, some channels are reporting that we are favourites once more.
We have this every, single year, with a few spurious links creating feverish speculation.
When it is announced on the OS, I'll pay close attention. I personally hope that Bobb is our Wirtz.
