This is the question. Where are our assists going to come from? Honestly, I don't know. It's going to be Rodri/Reijnders/MGW midfield, which is balanced, has goals in it, but no proper creator.
 
Have I missed the news that Liverpool has signed at least five world class players. Two weeks ago Wirtz was signing for Bayern, then it was us, then it was Bayern and now it’s Liverpool. His dad wanted Bayern, his mum wanted home to stay at Leverkusen and he wanted City. Now they have all done a U-turn, is that right? Frimpong has pace but can’t defend and Kerkez didn’t exactly shine against us this week. Can the flappers stop flapping about what May or may not happen and just calm the fuck down.
 
Did we withdraw interest because he didn't want us or we wouldn't pay what Leverkusen want ?
 
Some need to air their fishslices! Omar beat him in the division all ends up and was half the price.
Even if he goes there he might not settle in the League and if he does.. he goes to Madrid 2-3 years later

Exactly. Salah cant hit a barn door now hes signed his contract. Him and VVD a season older and they rely on them heavily.

We have quality still and have the best player in the world to come back - thats like a 150m signing on his own.

Add to that the fact we still haven’t replaced the goals and assists we used to get from the wings — what Sterling and Mahrez brought season after season. Combine that with the loss of De Bruyne’s creative output, assists and goals, and it’s clear: we urgently need reinforcements who can deliver both assists and goals. Wirtz was truly our soution along with Reijnders for our midfield, but unfortunately we have bowed out!
 
If he does end up at Liverpool next season - I'm still not convinced - him, salah and van dyke must be on very close to a million quid a week between them. They'll forget that when they speak about pep.

Never said Foden was crap ever - infact quite the opposite but what happens if the off field issues continue?

We have had a big problem creatively this season and we are missing out on the best possible out there that is available.....you want to be the best - you get the best - and our recruitment in recent transfer windows has been poor

Gundo first time round - second time very very debateable

Zinchenko - as a midfielder no

Phillips - hahahahahah - no
Kova - yes just
Nunes - os bad put to right back
Doku - decent but thats about it
Sav - not at the moment
Marmoush - who knows as a midfielder
Rodri - obviously yes
Sterling - yes
NIco Gonzales? - ????????????????
Grealih - No

That doesnt looka great record....KDB was already here as were some of our other top performers like Ferna and David Silva - Yes Gundo, Bernardo, Rodri being the stand out yes's but there have been some huge failings in there as well as far as trasnfers coming in.

Foden has been a critical and he came from our acadamy

For a manager who once said he would lay with a team full of midfielders that record on buying midfielders aint great

We have missed out on Rice, Bellingham and now Wirtz - two of those have gone on to significantly strengthen direct rivals

Since we're apparently so shit and most of the players bought have been shit, it's incredible that we've won anything at all, let alone 4 titles in a row (never been done before), a treble and 100 points (never been done before).

Remember when we did the domestic treble, we lost KDB before the season started for a least 5 months, if I rightly recall, we went with Gundo and Bernardo. So to answer your question we will have to go with a slightly different system. You don't always need a number 10.

Honestly this thread actually has me hoping the club gets found guilty of all of the 115 charges so we go down to the conference and all of you spoilt brats on here fuck off back to the Real Madrid forums or wherever the fuck it is you've come from.
 
No good way of framing the fact our greatest ever creative midfielder has just walked out the door and our big rival that just won the league at a canter look like they're about to sign the best young creative midfielder in the world, is there?
