Florian Wirtz

really want to see what will be the final cost. fee to Leverkusen, salary and agent fee. have a bad feeling it will be nowhere near the 300m mark which we leaked that would be too expensive for us.
It will be nowhere near because Liverpool will lie about it, as they always do.

I had actually discounted/forgotten that we do unfortunately still have the 115/130 officially hanging over us, yes I’m confident it’s going away, but who knows if that’s enough of a seed of doubt when he maybe wants a quick decision made on his future.
I think 115 has always had elements of a smokescreen that is intended for us take a step back from being incredibly well run and set up for years of success.

Still trying to get my head around a few things here.
Wirtz - the two outliers are that we have spent months chasing him and wasted our time to can’t make out why we are not trying to sign him.
My conclusion - he wants to go elsewhere. Deal with it.
Gibbs White - he is average and no replacement for KDB.
My conclusion - very insulting to call him average and please show me where it says he’s replacing the modern GOAT.

We lost the title fact. The Dippers and the Bridesmaids will try and strengthen. I would be gobsmacked if they didn’t.

I am already excited for next year. Hopefully the full return of Rodders, the further development of Bobb, Etcheverri, O’Reilly,Nico G and Marmoush.
Add in two proper full backs and dynamic midfielders and we will be up there.

Its not about signing primadonnas - its about signing quality......

MGW doesnt represent quality - not even close to the level we are needing to replace - not even better than some of what we have had in recent years - you think he is as good as ANY of our main midfielders in their prime? He aint even close - not even in the same ball park - he may not be quite the disaster Nunes and Phillips were but I do think this has got averageness written all over it

Not KDB level obvious.
Is he bernardo level - NO
Is he gundo level. - No
Is he prime Foden level. - No
Rodri level - hahahahahaha - NO!

IS he even Kova level - maybe but that aint a good thing
grealish level - probably -again not a good thing

He doesnt even come close
Sadly I have to agree. If this were to be the main signing of the summer we in the process of surrendering our crown for another few years at least.

Firstly, where we really out because of the amount???

Secondly, are Liverpool in now not knowing the amount.

I think he choose Liverpool over us, for possibly the charges, this seasons form.

I still think Bayern are not out of this, until he signs I would not discount them.

But I don’t think Liverpool pull out because of money or the deal would be beyond what we would have paid.

I don't think it's a conspiracy theory to say that the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal have pushed for it and regardless of outcome are using the window of opportunity the charges have given them to go for broke and try and cement themselves.

Not necessarily it depends if they all gel as a team.i am hoping city have a few surprises in store player wise.I think the fans need a big lift let's hope we can secure top 5 tommorow and then we start to get some good news.

Because it means less money can be spent elsewhere on other positions

Overspending on average consistently enough is why United are where they are
United are where they are because they bought top names for premium prices and not what they necessarily needed. Let’s not forget the managers role in making players worse.

That said, long may their demise continue

Of course. I should have added imho.
Just a wish of mine for some posters to stop chasing shiny new toys and instead see us develop some of the outstanding young talent we already have.

They also became obsessed with what we were doing and who we were signing and started trying to outdo us rather than concentrating on the needs of their own team.

Hopefully, our execs, unlike some of those on here, will be thinking independently.

We dont know if its close or not. By the way, did we win the title the year before this photograph? I didn't think we did
I was comparing it to the proposed super window of Kerkez, Frimpong and Wirtz. Not if we had won the championship or not.

We pissed about this season and with Rodri we could well have been champions.

Now there's a club that is toxic, not our club although some on Bluemoon believe we are.

Exactly this. They became hypnotised, almost. It is exactly what we must not do, in relation to, say, Liverpool. So long as we qualify for the CL — I know, not done yet — I'll take that handsomely as an “off season”.
