The player himself said before the season he wants to stay at Bayer this season to develop under Alonso and also to achieve certain goals / recover fully from injury before leaving. Obviously, our situation changed so more than likely a starter here. Number 10 was given to him and a key player for them. I really can't see it unless we offer a crazy amount / offer them someone.
 
If the management rate him as a replacement for KDB, then they should try to bring him during this transfer window. He will learn and develop more playing with KDB, and we will have a smooth replacement period.
 
We need to make this happen, the best option and we need 1/2 players in. Pay the money!!

Hopefully he would be persuaded by the chance to play under Pep's influence .
