Florian Wirtz

I think everyone here knows how much Wirtz would strengthen us – that’s undeniable. But many are forgetting one crucial point: what happens if we don’t get him? In that case, we’re indirectly strengthening our international rivals. Imagine a duo of Wirtz and Musiala at Bayern or Wirtz at Real Madrid. We want to win the Champions League again, and we simply cannot afford to let these two clubs get even stronger.

I tend to agree we need at least one of Wirtz and/or Musiala to keep pace with challenging for honours. This will come at a high premium. Unless our club decides to spend a couple of years rebuilding for the future. That or we unearth a couple of diamonds that need polishing.

Exactly, but Wirtz is our only chance.
Musiala is reportedly set to extend his contract at Bayern, as reported in recent days. I never trusted those rumors—there was no way we were getting Bayern’s star player. Clubs like Real of Bayern don’t lose players like that.

But with Wirtz, there’s still a chance. And honestly, we have no other choice but to take it. If he ends up at Bayern or Real, it’ll be so hard to keep pace in the Champions League.

Stop it. There was a time RM had Ronaldo, Ozil and Benzema and they still didn't win a thing, actually it remained that way for some years until Bale came along. Even then, a young Ajax side humiliated them and dumped them out of the UCL. Don't get me wrong Wirtz and Musiala would definitely strengthen them but it's not going to be as easy as you would like to think.

With Pep extending we need to go all out and get this lad and spend whatever it takes.

We can still use Kev, but sparingly, and i think Wirtz could could be the one to replace him. He'd be a a statement signing and keep us challenging for years to come.

I can’t stand it. Why spend over £100m on Wirtz when they already have Musiala and are extending his contract? It’s just so greedy. And why do these German kids always want to go to Bayern?
