Florian Wirtz

Can we not reimagine what Grealish did. As a point on our tactical map, he would draw defenders, encourage under/over laps, retain possession and win fouls. Him retaining possession allowed the team to move up the pitch. The way he has played this year hasn't differentiated from that.
i like grealish and think his skills are useful. Pep's just not interested in them anymore it seems.

Surely Alonso going Madrid and Wirtz being his first signing is our major risk.

We should be in for this kid and doing everything and hopefully it will all align for us at the right time.

But we just have to be prepared it’s more
likely not to happen then happen.

Once Bayern have won the title maybe then Wirts will say where he is going and if it's Madrid or Bayern it be done pretty soon after that! If it's not feel my confidence rise be coming to us..

Who said Wirtz will never come to City? Who said Haaland would never come?
Are we going to use haaland as the example forever ? Could say the same with rice, Bellingham as an example. Different cases. Those players have nothing to do with city while haaland‘s father played here. Also in haaland case Madrid wasn’t interested since they wanted Mbappe. It’s not impossible but the moment Madrid shows real interest it’s going to be nearly impossible.
Wouldn’t surprise me if end up with MGW + someone like Cherki or whoever Portugese Viana has in mind

He's on 74k a week and looks like he's the hottest property in world football that is potentially on the move then it would be reckless of his team not to try and get as many people at the table negotiating. This may be the most important move of his career financially.

I just hope this thread doesn't descend into another Isco and Bellingham farce threads?

If Wirtz follows Alonso to Madrid then they will have to sell at least one big name player to finance and accommodate him. Camavinga? Valverde if TAA goes to Madrid?

Valverde needs to go back into midfield. A victim of his own versatility.

Had he been in the midfield against Arsenal alongside Bellingham and Tchouameni, that would have been a much superior midfield. He is one of the best midfielders in the world at what he does. A bit like what Bernardo was for us.

There is too much two and two equals 5 with the Alonso taking Wirtz with him.

I am sure Madrid would like him but they need to sort out a long term Kroos replacement, central defence and right back, and on top of that maybe even think about moving one of the front 3 on to get a striker in and a more balanced team.

Surely for him on a performance side, joining City would be the best as he will have little to no competition for his spot.

Convinience, would be Bayern , and staying in Germany, but they already have Musiala.

Dream would be Real, but they are an unbalanced mess in midfield.
