The biggest aspect we have going for Wirtz is Pep. Not from Bayerns side but briefed from Wirtz side the coach is a massive reason for his next club also the World Cup.

No offence to Kompany he’s our legend and he’s doing well as a manager, but he’s no where near Pep. Pep is one the best managers of all time. That’s why I think he could turn Man City down if we didnt have Pep as he likes Germany.

but turning one the best managers of all time and best teacher of midfield players down, who’s managed Xavi, Iniesta , Messi , Alonso , Kev etc I don’t think Wirtz would. Especially as he’s apparently very ambitious and wants to be the best in his postion.

One thing I think he needs to think about is he could in theory play for us and Bayern. He could do five years here and still go to Bayern to cap off his career.

Spurs need to sell to buy. I don’t see them getting jack unless they win the Europa league then they don’t have to sell to buy.

They have about 200m to play with before any issues. Swiss Ramble and Stefan both did pieces on this recently.

I think it's because what they have has to be spent on the new stadium and any asset debt such as player amortization.

Without CL football they cannot add any more debt onto the club via new signings amortization and they don't have any cash ready to fund any new signings unless Levy liquidates some of his holdings and injects it into the club.

They need CL money for that cash injection.

That was my grasping.
 
Just read that Kingsley Coman has dealt Bayern's plans to buy Wirtz a severe blow by refusing to leave before the end of his contract (17m pa).
It would be just like Bayern PR to blame a player refusing to leave for failing to sign who they wish.

yeah, they need some cash on hand, had a quick look. Just assumed it was a PSR thing as usual. My bad.
